The practice of Yoga creates unity with the individual and the divine, and within the physical being by joining body, mind, and breath. In our everyday lives, the physical practice of Yoga can help us become healthier and better individuals by creating flexibility and strength in both body and mind. The peacefulness, breathing (pranayama), positivity, mindfulness, and acceptance can be practiced on the mat through the asanas, which also help create healthy joints, lower blood pressure, and create equanimity, among its myriad of benefits.
